    Happy 2018!

Here we are, once again starting a new year, full of hope, confidence, and excitement.
The joy of Christmas fills me with the hope that “anything is possible”.
Rather than slipping into those after the holidays blues, focus on the possibilities of the new year.

Sometimes I feel like a kid when I am drafting my new year’s resolutions.
What can I do to make me a better me?
What can I do to make things better for someone else?
What can I do to make the world a better place?
    The possibilities are endless.

I used to set very lofty goals for the new year, much like following my 1, 5, and 10 year plans.
I have decided to treat resolutions differently this year.

I am answering each of the questions I posed above with at least one action item and timeline.
These are not things that I have to do. They are things that I want to do, and am committing to myself to do.
    I will hold myself accountable.

The best way to reach a goal is to make it measurable and time bound.
One of the most common resolutions is to lose weight.
Well, “losing weight” isn’t really a measurable goal, but how about losing 10 pounds by the end of February?

Good luck with your resolutions – you can do it!

    Let 2018 begin!
